How does evaporative cooling work?
Evaporative Air Conditioning uses the natural process of evaporation to provide cool air throughout your home. The process is identical to a refreshing ‘sea breeze’ – as air is blown across water it gives off its heat and we enjoy the cool air.
The temperature that we feel as a direct result of air movement across our body on a hot day is known as the effective temperature. Effective temperature should not be confused with the actual temperature that you would read from a thermometer. When sensing a breeze, we feel colder even though the air stream produced by the breeze is the same temperature as the air. The cooling effect of air in motion is due to increased skin evaporation. Heat is removed from the body so you feel cooler.
To understand this, (it’s a bit gross), but if you were to lick the back of your hand and then gently blow on it, you would notice that your hand feels colder, even though your saliva is at body temperature and your breathe is warm too.
There are 4 main components to the roof mounted Evaporative Air Conditioning unit. First is a water reservoir, a pump that circulates the water over the heat-exchange filters and finally a fan driven by an electric motor to draw fresh air through the wet heat-exchange filters which reduce the temperature of the air. The cool air is then pushed by the fan through insulated ducting to each room of the house.
By moving a large volume of cool air through the house, usually changing all the air 30 times per hour, the cool air removes the heat build-up in the walls and structure of the house itself. This provides a nice, comfortable home filled with fresh, filtered, cool air.

Reverse Cycle Airconditioning
Ducted reverse cycle & Wall mounted Split System air conditioning models are great for keeping you cool in summer, but they are also one of the most cost effective ways of warming your home in winter.
Reverse cycle Ducted air con systems are designed to cool or heat multiple rooms at once and feed refrigerated air through a series of ducts and vents in your home maintaining uniform temperatures throughout.
Inverter technology means ducted reverse cycle air conditioners are now more economical to operate and quieter to run than conventional units. They can handle greater extremes in temperature, are smoother and more stable in operation and reach the desired temperature more quickly.
